Videography / Editing / Motion Design Reel

A reel that highlights my skills in video creation arts. Full examples of works I've filmed and edited for clients can be found below.

Lifted Logic Video Challenge

As part of my application to this company, I assembled a video using provided footage and voiceover. I created all the animated motion graphics for the project.

UMKC - CLIMA Grant

In early 2024, I interned with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where one of my projects was documenting the Chilean exchange students' adventures at the college. This involved accompanying them on field trips, scheduling interviews, and compiling the footage into a video for their YouTube channel. This is probably my favorite project I've ever worked on because the collaborative process was so fun, and it was my first multilingual production too, so I had to go out and get some of the students' interviews translated into english.

UMKC - Zach Frasier Interview

Part of my UMKC internship was to create Instagram reels to highlight various happenings on Campus, and this was the first one I did. This is an interview with the graphic design professor at UMKC, Zachary Frasier, and it was made to promote a student art show centered around Zines, which are small, self-published magazines. With this project it was important to us that we kept a human element to the videos to create a more authentic connection with our audience, so we would keep in little candid moments like at the start when Zach asks "Am I looking at you?"

UMKC - COMMSTudio Promo

Another Instagram reel I produced for UMKC, this video highlights a new on-campus service. The project emerged serendipitously because while touring the campus media production rooms, I met Dr. Sarah Jones, who introduced me to the COMMSTudio (Communication Studies Studio) - a resource for students seeking help with speech writing and delivery. Since my internship was to spotlight such campus initiatives, it ended up being fortuitous that we met.

Donnelly College - Earth Day Event Intro

I produced a video for Donnelly College's Earth Day event, documenting the Environmental Ethics class as they set up a hydroponic garden and engaged in various community service activities.

Fursuit Bowling

I produced this video to promote a local cosplay group that goes around and holds dress-up events at arcades and bowling alleys for its members.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School - Wigs Out Promo

My high school had an annual event where participants could donate their hair to an organization that would create wigs for cancer patients. I got the opportunity to create the video announcement for it. I decided to go with a subversive and silly infomercial style to garner attention and excitement. I handled every aspect of production, including filming, editing, visual effects, and motion graphics.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School - Theater Awards Intro

As the artistic director for my high school's 18th annual theater awards, I created a video that screened above the stage following a live cold-open sketch which was a sendup of Saturday Night Live's iconic intro. Again, I managed all filming, editing, and motion graphics for this production. I distinctly remember running tech for the event and the audience going absolutely wild when the video played, it was an amazing moment.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School - Halo Student News Intro

I was one of the founders of our high school's student news program, streaming a live broadcast to each classroom every morning. I designed all the graphics and bumpers and even created the audio stinger. I created this intro for them in 2018 and it's been in front of every broadcast to date. As a founder of our high school's student news program, I developed the visual identity for our daily classroom broadcast. I designed graphics, bumpers, and created a custom audio stinger. This intro which I crafted in 2018 is still in use today at the school.

YouTube Outro

I was commissioned to design a video outro for a YouTuber, creating a custom logo animation and composing original music. The outro serves as a dynamic background for end cards.

Sonic Visualizer

A musician commissioned me to create this sonic visualizer for their song, which I used as an excuse to learn node-based compositing in DaVinci Resolve Fusion.
